What does the Robot Dock Mk I buy?

Robot Dock Mk I

The $250 Robot Dock Mk I supplies a dock and its paired vacuum robot. The robot cleans nearby ground, brings the dust home, and the dock feeds capsules onto an outgoing conveyor. Its work area covers 19 hexes around the dock.

Dock and robot capacities

Specification Value
Dock purchase $250
Dock storage 100 kg
Robot carried load 15 kg
Robot cleaning width 1.3 m
Coverage 19 hexes
Power demand —

The dock storage and the robot’s onboard container are separate. The robot must return its load before the dock can send that dust down the belt.

Where should you build it?

The Mk I is the lower-cost dock. The Mk II costs $500, has a 300 kg dock buffer and serves a robot covering 37 hexes. Choose between them by the dirty area around your planned position and the route needed to sell its dust.

Place the dock near an existing conveyor route, with uncleared ground around it. Connect its outfeed to a station intake or processors before leaving it to work. The logistics guide covers the selling connection.

What should you check when it stops?

If the robot returns full and waits, inspect dock storage and the first outgoing belt. Follow any queue to its destination before buying another robot. If the reachable ground has been cleared, move the dock with R in 1.0.5 and reconnect its outfeed at the next work area.

Use the Moon Map to inspect local cleaning progress and robot activity. Compare the Mk II dock for the other fixed-area option, or J.O.O.N.A.S. for collection beyond a dock’s local area.
