What does a Merger do?

Merger

A $5 Merger joins two capsule routes onto one outgoing belt. It is useful when Packagers, robot docks or Garage silos share a route to a station. A Splitter does the opposite: one input branches into two outputs.

The 1.0.4 update added alternating inputs. The same update lets crewmates place junctions on belts built by other players.

How do you connect it?

Build the junction with the Building Tool under Logistics. Connect each collection branch to an input and send the output toward processing or a station intake. Watch capsules arriving from both sources so a reversed branch does not look like a problem with the junction.

For automatic selling, the final belt must enter the station’s intake. A route that stops beside the wall can fill back toward the Merger even when the junction itself is connected correctly. The logistics guide covers that final connection.

Why does the shared output back up?

Combining routes does not add output capacity. Follow the outgoing belt to the next processor or intake. Clear a blocked destination, check processor power and ingredients, or keep collection routes separate if one shared line cannot clear deliveries.

For Moonstone production, preserve separate sand and dust feeds until they reach the Stone Press’s corresponding inputs. Use the factory guide to balance the production line rather than routing both ingredients into the same port.
