Moon Sweepers Splitter: cost, branches & factory setup

The $5 Splitter branches a capsule belt into two outputs. Use it to separate raw dust from a sand line and connect Moonstone production.

What does a Splitter do?

Splitter

A $5 Splitter divides one conveyor route into two branches. Use it when a collection line needs to serve more than one destination, particularly when making Moonstone. It routes capsules rather than changing their contents.

Place the junction with the Building Tool under Logistics. Run the incoming collection belt to the input, then connect the two output branches to their destinations. Splitters can snap directly to other ports, and crewmates can place them on each other’s belts.

Where does it go in a Moonstone line?

Split the incoming dust before the Pressure Chamber. Send one branch through the chamber to make sand; send the other directly to the Stone Press’s raw-dust input. Connect the sand output to the press’s separate sand input.

Sending every capsule through the chamber leaves the press without raw dust. Reversing the two press inputs also prevents the intended recipe from running. Follow both branches to their ports rather than checking only the first junction.

What should you check if production pauses?

Inspect the processor at the end of each branch. It needs the right ingredient, enough power and space to send its product onward. A full output belt can leave material waiting even when collection is steady.

Use the factory ratios to compare ingredient demand with the machines you have built. When routes need to combine again, use a Merger; it joins incoming belts rather than creating a second branch.
