Moon Sweepers Solar Tracker: cost, power & placement
Solar Tracker in Moon Sweepers: 16 kW peak generation, 10 kWh storage and 34 m range.
What does the Solar Tracker supply?
The Solar Tracker is a sun-following generator with onboard storage. Use it to supply a wider factory area and build charge for production after sunset.
Power and cost
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Purchase price | $300 |
| Full-sun generation | 16 kW |
| Battery storage | 10 kWh |
| Supply range | 34 m |
| Follows the sun | Yes |
How does it compare with smaller panels?
The Solar Twin costs $150, generates 7.5 kW and stores 4 kWh. The Tracker provides more peak generation, storage and range in one unit, and turns to follow the sun.
A Pressure Chamber draws 10 kW, while a Stone Press draws 18 kW. One Tracker’s 16 kW peak is below the press’s full demand. Add generation for the complete line.
How do you plan for night operation?
Place Trackers so the processors you want running are within their 34 m range. Charge during daylight before relying on the batteries after sunset. More installed generation does not guarantee a full battery if the operating machines consume the available power.
The factory guide suggests about two to three Trackers per production building for overnight planning.
If a powered machine remains idle, follow its input and output belts too. The night guide covers the distinction between lighting your work area and supplying factory electricity.
