Moon Sweepers Solar Twin: cost, power & placement
Solar Twin in Moon Sweepers: 7.5 kW peak generation, 4 kWh storage and 24 m range.
What does the Solar Twin supply?
The Solar Twin combines solar generation with a battery for stored energy. Its fixed panels supply factory machines within a wider area than the Solar Post.
Power and cost
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Purchase price | $150 |
| Full-sun generation | 7.5 kW |
| Battery storage | 4 kWh |
| Supply range | 24 m |
| Follows the sun | No |
How much production can it support?
Two Twins generate 15 kW in full sun, more than a Pressure Chamber’s 10 kW demand. One Twin alone falls short of that demand. A Stone Press uses 18 kW, so compare the whole line’s requirement before placing processors.
The 4 kWh battery stores energy; it does not add 4 kW to the panel’s generation. Daylight must support your machines and replenish charge for later use. Check stored charge before depending on the same production line after sunset.
When should you choose a Twin?
The Twin adds storage that the Solar Post lacks, at a lower purchase price than the Solar Tracker. Compare them by generation, storage and range together.
Place the Twin through the Building Tool’s Power category. It does not follow the sun, so orient its panels toward the light and keep processors within 24 m. Check power coverage after moving equipment. The factory ratios guide lists processor demand, and the night guide covers stored energy after dark.
