Moon Sweepers Pressure Chamber: cost & power

Pressure Chamber price $500, 10 kW demand, up to 5 kg dust every 12 seconds, and Moon Sand value notes for Moon Sweepers 1.0.4.

Role in the factory

The Pressure Chamber is the first value-adding processor most guides introduce after raw dust logistics work. It converts lunar dust into Moon Sand. Parent index: data hub. Full line math lives on factory ratios & power.

Verified specs

Spec Value Confidence

Power demand 10 kW Multi-source (same three + Indiatimes / GamerBlurb power guides)
Cycle / capacity text Up to 5 kg dust every 12 seconds Multi-source
Theoretical ceiling 25 kg dust / minute if continuously fed & powered Derived arithmetic from the 5 kg / 12 s claim — labelled as theoretical in whisperofthehouse
Output product Moon Sand Multi-source
Sale multiplier vs raw dust 3× Multi-source

Official 1.0.3 notes that pressure chambers (with stone presses and garages) can stand across several foundations — placement QoL is official; dollar and kW figures remain guide-sourced.

What is not verified

  • Exact kilograms of Moon Sand emitted per cycle (guides emphasize dust intake and the 3× sale multiplier, not a printed sand-out mass).
  • Internal buffer size or UI silo pairing beyond moonsweepershub’s mention of a recording showing a 1,500 silo feed — that silo figure is single-source contextual colour, not chamber capacity.
  • Whether sale multipliers stack with Market Contracts / Lunar Exchange the same way for sand as for dust (economy upgrades exist; interaction math not multi-sourced here).

Minimal working line

Guides converge on:

Dust conveyor → Pressure Chamber → Moon Sand conveyor → Depot

KeenGamer and whisperofthehouse both warn that a chamber beside a belt is not connected unless the inlet faces the incoming capsules. Indiatimes and GamerBlurb spell out the Post math: 3 Posts = 9 kW (insufficient for 10 kW) and 4 Posts = 12 kW. whisperofthehouse separately notes you need more than three Posts and gives two Solar Twin (M) units = 15 kW as an example. Those solar kW figures are multi-source on the factory ratios page.

Do not buy the chamber before dust actually arrives on belts; an idle $500 machine earns nothing (KeenGamer).

Next machines

When sand volume is steady and power headroom exists, the Stone Press consumes sand plus raw dust for Moonstone. Splitters for that dual feed are covered under logistics machines. Narrative automation context: tools and automation.
