Moon Sweepers Stone Press: recipe, power, price

Stone Press costs $1,000, needs 18 kW, and turns 1 kg dust + 1 kg sand into 2 kg Moonstone every 6 seconds in Moon Sweepers 1.0.4.

Why the Stone Press exists

Moonstone is the highest-value processed good covered by the major walkthroughs. The Stone Press is the machine that crafts it, but only after a Pressure Chamber can supply Moon Sand and your power grid can spare 18 kW. Hub: data hub.

Combined with one chamber 28 kW machine demand before other loads Multi-source arithmetic (10 + 18)

Official 1.0.3 confirms stone presses can span multiple foundations.

Dual-input layout (multi-source procedure)

KeenGamer, Sportskeeda and whisperofthehouse describe the same failure mode: sending all dust through the chamber leaves the press without raw dust.

Working pattern:

  1. Split incoming dust.
  2. Branch A → Stone Press dust input.
  3. Branch B → Pressure Chamber → sand → Stone Press sand input.
  4. Moonstone output belt → Depot (or further logistics).

Splitters / mergers details: logistics machines. Ratio discussion without inventing a fixed chamber:press count: factory ratios.

moonsweepershub adds troubleshooting colour: output belts should carry capsules the press expects; pointing a belt into the output side can make the press read full — treat as single-source diagnostic unless another guide reprints it.

When guides say to wait

All three major automation write-ups caution against buying the press the moment it appears in the build menu. Reasons they share: 18 kW is a large jump, both ingredients must arrive, and a starved press is dead capital. Prefer stable sand sales first, then add the press when queues and power support it.
