How do Conveyor Belts work?

Conveyor Belt

Conveyors carry capsules from a Packager, Garage silo, robot dock or Capsule Catcher to another machine or a station intake. They transport material; the connected destination determines whether it is processed or sold.

Belt costs and dimensions

Specification Value
Conveyor route $0.50 per meter
Maximum section length 30 m per placement
Full 30 m section $15

Extend longer routes with additional sections. The logistics guide covers connections and automatic selling.

How do you connect automatic selling?

  1. Equip the Building Tool and select a conveyor.
  2. Connect the last section into an orange-ringed intake on a station’s outside wall.
  3. Extend the route toward the collection point, keeping direction arrows pointed toward the intake.
  4. Place a capsule onto the belt and follow it until the station receives it and your balance increases.

A Packager makes handheld unloading convenient but is optional: carried capsules can go directly onto the belt. Vehicles unload through a Garage silo instead.

How do you add processing or fix a queue?

Route dust into a Pressure Chamber for sand. A Stone Press needs separate sand and raw-dust feeds; use a Splitter before the chamber to preserve the raw branch.

If capsules move away from their destination, reconnect the reversed section. If they stop at the station wall, extend the belt into the intake. If two routes queue after a Merger, inspect the shared output before expanding collection. The factory calculator helps size the processors without assuming a belt throughput.

Patch 1.0.5 allows free building moves with R and full refunds on removal, making short routes easier to reposition.
