Moon Sweepers Solar Post: cost, power & placement
Solar Post in Moon Sweepers: 3 kW peak generation, 0 kWh storage and 16 m range.
What does the Solar Post supply?
The Solar Post is a fixed solar generator for nearby factory equipment. It has no onboard storage, so it is best suited to daytime demand.
Power and cost
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Purchase price | $75 |
| Full-sun generation | 3 kW |
| Battery storage | 0 kWh |
| Supply range | 16 m |
| Follows the sun | No |
What can a Post power?
A Pressure Chamber needs 10 kW. Three Posts provide only 9 kW at peak; four provide 12 kW. A Stone Press needs 18 kW, equal to six Posts’ combined full-sun output. These outputs require full sunlight.
Posts have no onboard battery. For production after sunset, compare the Solar Twin and Solar Tracker, which store energy during daylight.
Where should you place it?
Use the Building Tool’s Power category and keep the machines you want to supply within the Post’s 16 m range. This is a fixed panel, so face it toward the sun. Solar units supply electricity to nearby equipment; they do not take dust capsules or need a conveyor connection.
If a processor pauses, check sunlight and range as well as its ingredient and output belts. Adding more collection will not restore missing power. The factory guide compares total machine demand, while the night guide covers production after dark.
