What does the J.O.O.N.A.S. robot do?

J.O.O.N.A.S. robot

The robot is the mobile cleaning part of the $20,000 J.O.O.N.A.S. purchase. It cleans beyond the fixed work areas of Mk I and Mk II docks and launches collected dust to Capsule Catchers. Since 1.0.4, it can keep working without a player nearby and without returning home for every load.

Cleaning and delivery capacity

Specification Value
Complete J.O.O.N.A.S. purchase $20,000
Onboard dust capacity 60 kg
Cleaning width 5.6 m
Capsule Catcher purchase $1,500
Catcher storage 100 kg

The robot container and Catcher storage are separate stops in delivery. The home comes with the same purchase; the robot is not an additional $20,000 item to buy after the building.

How are Catchers selected?

In 1.0.5, Catchers within 100 m of each other form a group. J.O.O.N.A.S. targets the emptiest Catcher in the nearest group. When every Catcher there is over 80% full, it looks to the next group. See the Capsule Catcher guide for the full receiving setup.

What should you do when its bin fills?

Check receiving capacity and outfeed before adding another sweeper. A Catcher needs a conveyor route to processing or a station intake. Full receiving groups and backed-up outputs can leave the robot waiting even though dirty ground remains.

Use the Moon Map to inspect robot activity, then follow the route from launch to sale. The late-game fleet guide covers expanding receiving routes as cleaning moves farther from the original factory.
