Moon Sweepers co-op host controls: kick, ban and unban
Use ESC → Your Crew to moderate a co-op save, understand shared upgrades, and check version compatibility before playing together.
How do you kick or ban a player as host?
Host moderation was added in 1.0.3:
- Open the ESC menu.
- Open Your Crew, which lists everyone.
- Use the host controls there to kick or ban a player.
A banned player cannot join that save again.
Online co-op lobbies hold up to 16 players. For the broader lobby overview, see multiplayer.
How do you unban someone?
The host can unban a player in the same ESC → Your Crew menu.
Whose upgrades does the crew use?
Since 1.0.3, the entire crew uses the host’s upgrade matrix. Anyone’s purchase upgrades everyone, and older saves retain the highest upgrade level anyone had bought. Keep this shared progression rule in mind when coordinating purchases with the crew.
Which version should everyone use?
Keep all crewmates on the same version; patch 1.0.3 required everyone to be on 1.0.3 to play together. Also, saves made in 1.0.4 cannot be opened in older versions. See save problems and automatic backups for automatic backups and repair.
Can crewmates build splitters and mergers together?
Since patch 1.0.3, splitters and mergers built by crewmates work. Since patch 1.0.4, any crewmate can place splitters and mergers on belts built by other players. In 1.0.5, the Building Tool’s R move mode repositions buildings for free, and removing a piece refunds its full price. Use the factory ratios guide when planning shared production lines.
What changed for shared work in 1.0.4?
Patch 1.0.4 improved shared work:
- Everyone sees the same cleaned ground, including robot trails and manual cleaning.
- Mergers alternate between their inputs.
For the equipment context, see tools and automation. The patch overview covers the wider changes.
