Moon Sweepers Garage: How to Build, Cost & Silo Setup
Build a Moon Sweepers Garage, buy and recall vehicles, unload dust into its silo and connect conveyors. Includes costs, placement and garage troubleshooting.
What is the Garage in Moon Sweepers?
The Moon Sweepers Garage manages your vehicles and receives the dust they collect. Use it to buy, store, recall and modify vehicles, then unload a full hopper at its collector pad. The silo stores the load and sends capsules onto conveyors for processing or sale.
For machine choices, capacities and vehicle upgrade effects, use the separate vehicles comparison. This page covers the Garage building and its connections.
How do you get and build a Garage?
Buy the Building Tool for $50 from the station’s supply wall. Equip it to open construction, select the $200 Garage, and place it where vehicles can reach the unloading area. These purchases give you access to the building and its vehicle services; each vehicle is a separate purchase.
| Purchase | Base price as of patch 1.0.4 |
|---|---|
| Building Tool | $50 |
| Garage building | $200 |
| Tool plus first Garage | $250 before a vehicle and conveyors |
- Buy and equip the Building Tool.
- Choose Garage in the construction menu.
- Check the approach, exit and rear conveyor routes before placing it.
- Open the Garage to buy a vehicle or recall one you already own.
- Prepare the silo’s outgoing belts before returning with a full load.
Follow the beginner guide if you are still funding construction with handheld deliveries.
Where should you place the Garage?
Choose a site with an open vehicle approach and enough room to connect the silo to your selling route. A short route to a station intake is a useful starting point. Leave room for processors if you plan to turn the dust into sand or Moonstone later.
Since 1.0.3, garages can stand across multiple foundations. In 1.0.5, building pieces can be placed on dusty ground, and machines snap to foundations. The Building Tool’s R move mode lets you reposition a piece and what stands on it for free. Removing a piece now refunds its full price.
Plan the production end with the factory guide and calculator, keeping the vehicle approach clear of belt crossings.
How do you unload vehicles and connect the Garage silo?
Park the collecting vehicle on the collector pad beneath the Garage’s hood. Its dust transfers into the silo. Connect conveyors to the silo’s two rear outputs and carry the capsules to processing machines or a station intake.
The route is vehicle → collector pad → silo → conveyors → factory or station intake. Unloading into storage is only the first part of delivery; the outgoing route must reach a selling point before that stored dust earns money.
Start with a short connection and follow a capsule through it. The auto-selling guide explains how to connect the final belt into the station’s receiving port. Measure completed deliveries with the profit calculator once the route works.
Can every Garage recall your vehicles?
Yes. Since patch 1.0.3, any Garage can recall, store or upgrade vehicles you own, and its shop does not offer one you already own. You do not need to buy the same vehicle again for another Garage.
Removing a Garage keeps the vehicles: they move to another Garage, or wait for the next Garage you build if none remains.
Which upgrades and automation connect to the Garage?
Buy vehicle modifications through the Garage. Choose hopper, unloading or movement upgrades to address the slowest part of your driving loop; the vehicle upgrades table explains their effects.
The Upgrade Matrix is a separate purchase system. For factory expansion, feed Garage dust into a Pressure Chamber and reserve a raw-dust branch when adding Stone Presses. Later, J.O.O.N.A.S. delivers through Capsule Catchers, giving your factory another collection source.
Why is the Garage silo not sending dust?
In 1.0.5, a silo that cannot send dust displays a reason, including “Connect a conveyor belt to its outfeed” when an output connection is missing. Read that status, inspect the first outgoing belt and follow the route to the receiving machine or intake. Clear a blocked output before buying more hopper capacity.
The silo holds 6,000 kg, separate from the vehicle hopper. Compare vehicles in the equipment catalog or the vehicle table.
