Does Moon Sweepers have mod support?

Moon Sweepers has no official Steam Workshop, published mod kit or built-in mod browser as of October 29, 2026. Check the game version a community mod targets before adding it to your installation.

Is there a Steam Workshop?

There is no Moon Sweepers Workshop hub for subscribing to mods through Steam. For community files, follow the author’s installation and removal instructions.

What should you know about unofficial mods?

Several useful changes are already part of the base game:

  • Free building moves: patch 1.0.5 added a move mode for placed pieces.
  • Full demolition refunds: patch 1.0.5 raised refunds from 75% to 100% of the piece’s price.
  • Remote cleaning: since 1.0.4, J.O.O.N.A.S. keeps working when players are far away.

The official 1.0.5 announcement covers the building changes. See the patch notes before installing an older mod for one of these features.

How do you copy your backups before using mods?

Quit the game, then open the automatic backup folder:

C:\Users\[user-name]\AppData\LocalLow\DragDropGames\MoonSweepers\Backups

Copy this Backups folder to a separate location, such as a folder on your Desktop. Leave the original folder in place.

Each save slot keeps up to 5 automatic snapshots, taken a minute into each session and then every 30 minutes. Check their timestamps before making changes: a snapshot can be older than your latest progress. See save backups and recovery for the automatic repair system.

Can mods affect multiplayer?

All players need the same game version. Keep regular co-op worlds unmodified. If connection problems start after adding a mod, follow its removal instructions before troubleshooting the lobby.

The multiplayer guide covers connection checks and shared progression.

What about trainers, cheats and Cheat Engine?

Avoid using trainers or Cheat Engine on your main save or a shared co-op world. Everyone in the crew uses the host’s Upgrade Matrix, and upgrade purchases benefit the whole crew.

For faster progression in your main world, the money guide covers exploration rewards and automatic selling. Use the profit calculator to compare sale income and upgrade payback.

Where should mod requests go?

You can share feature requests and modding feedback with DragDrop Games in the official developer Discord.
